OHCOW’s Research Team shares findings from the “Community & Workplace Psychosocial Supports for the Mental Health of IAWs in Ontario” Project funded by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA)
This webinar will provide an overview of the project, and share findings from a literature review, Ontario regional support and service scans, along with those from interviews and consultation with international agricultural workers, community support groups, employer stakeholders, primary health care clinics, mental health organizations and initiatives, among others.
We will highlight key issues, promising practices, and identify gaps and areas requiring attention, followed by an opportunity for discussion. We will also share updated versions of our Regional Resource Posters of Ontario International Agricultural Workers, and provide details on when the project’s final report will be publicly available.
We look forward to the dialogue, idea generation and potential for future collaboration on the prevention of mental injury and supports that promote worker health and well-being.
