July 7, 2021 – A Submission to the Ontario Ministry of Labour
OHCOW’s mission includes a goal to protect workers and their communities from occupational diseases, injuries, and illnesses. As part of this mission, OHCOW encourages health-based and evidence-based occupational exposure limits (OELs) for chemical exposures.
In 2021, the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (now known as the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development) provided OHCOW with the opportunity to comment on proposed occupational exposure limits. We are privileged to be able to offer our view.
OHCOW’s submission addressed both the agents being consulted on, plus other agents that OHCOW has previously submitted evidence suggesting a change in the OELs is required.
