Case Studies on Lung Cancer
This webinar on legal cases related to occupational exposures to carcinogens, took place on April 23, 2019. The goal of this webinar was to provide practical tools for law and labour professionals working on occupational cancer cases ithin the workers compensation system in Ontario. Professionals working on these cases face unique challenges, including: 1) meeting the legal test for causation; 2) having the skillset to seek out, understand, and apply scientific literature to casework; and 3) retrospectively collecting exposure histories.
The webinar was presented by CAREX Canada in partnership with the Industrial Accident Victims’ Group of Ontario (IAVGO) Community Legal Clinic, the Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers Inc. (OHCOW), and the Ontario Office of the Worker Advisor (ON-OWA). Together, we will:
