Employers, workers, health-care providers often miss link between workplace and disease, says report
A new report commissioned by Premier Doug Ford's government says many cases of workplace-related illness are being missed. CBC News covers the developments. OHCOW researcher Janice Martell is featured in the article along with references to her work on the McIntyre Powder Project.
The report, to be released on Tuesday October 10, is an independent review of Ontario's system for preventing and responding to occupational diseases, such as cancers, lung conditions or neurological disorders that are linked to the working environment.
