RSI Day 2027 will be presented on 4 consecutive Fridays in February:
Week 2: February 12, 2027 | 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. EST
Week 3: February 19, 2027 | 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. EST
Week 4: February 26, 2027 | 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. EST
.
Each selected presenter should plan for approximately 20–25 minutes of presentation time, with additional time allocated for questions and discussion. Presenters who anticipate needing additional time may indicate this in their proposal for consideration during program development.
Weekly themes will be developed based on the presentations selected and presenter availability.
Suggested Presentation Themes
The themes below are intended to provide guidance rather than restrict potential presentation ideas and may be adjusted based on the submissions received.

|
Research, Technology & InnovationPresentations highlighting current research and advances in ergonomics and occupational health, including novel research findings, technologies, biomechanics, assessment and measurement methods, and the translation of research and innovation into workplace practice. |
|
The Changing World of WorkPresentations exploring how work, workplaces, worker populations and occupational risks are changing, including evolving work practices, workforce demographics, organizational and psychosocial factors, international approaches, overlooked or developing occupational health issues, and future challenges for ergonomics and worker health. |
What Are We Looking For?
RSI Day 2027 is particularly interested in fresh perspectives, innovative approaches and topics that expand upon, rather than duplicate, subjects previously presented through the RSI Day Webinar Series.
Proposals may involve research, professional or clinical case studies, workplace applications, assessment approaches, prevention initiatives, technological developments or other professionally relevant topics.
We particularly encourage submissions that:
- Introduce a topic or perspective not previously featured at RSI Day;
- Translate research or professional knowledge into practical workplace applications;
- Present an interesting professional, occupational or clinical case study;
- Demonstrate a useful intervention, tool, method, resource or prevention approach;
- Address changing or under-recognized occupational health and ergonomics issues;
- Provide perspectives, research or practices from jurisdictions outside Ontario and Canada.
Guidelines for Presenters and Presentations
- Presentations and slides must be delivered in English.
- Presenters must be available to participate live during their assigned RSI Day session.
- Presentations should generally be 20–25 minutes in length, with additional time for questions and discussion. Requests for additional presentation time may be considered as the program is developed.
- A PDF file of the final presentation must be provided to OHCOW for posting on the OHCOW website.
- Presentations should provide educational, research, professional or practical value to the RSI Day audience.
- Presentations must not primarily promote or market a commercial product, service, business or organization.
- Any relevant commercial, professional or financial interests related to the presentation must be disclosed.
Proposals will be reviewed based on relevance to RSI Day, professional and educational value, originality in relation to previous RSI Day programming, fit within the four program themes, and the overall balance of the 2027 program.
