In 1999 a satellite clinic was launched in the Sarnia-Lambton area as the result of increased concerns with occupational illness/disease. A permanent Sarnia-Lambton clinic was established on May 14th, 2004 to service the escalating number of patients in need of OHCOW services.
OHCOW Sarnia is dedicated to the identification and prevention of work-related injuries and illnesses. The clinic was created as a resource for workers and employers as part of the growing need for accessible expert information and technical studies relating to occupational health issues in the workplace.
OHCOW Sarnia's interdisciplinary team consists of occupational physicians, occupational health nurses, ergonomists, occupational hygienists, and client service coordinators. Our goal is to establish and maintain solid relationships with workers, unions, and when possible, with employers through joint health and safety committees.
Our services are funded by the Prevention Branch of the Ministry of Labour and are provided at no cost to patients and workplaces within Ontario.
