A Symposium on Workplace Mental Health (WMH), Stress and Injury Prevention
Mental Health and Injury Prevention continues to be a priority (and concern) in the workplaces of Ontario, the field of Occupational Health and Safety, and society in general. OHCOW has long recognized the impact of psychosocial factors on the health, safety and well-being of workers, and has been working actively to assist workplaces in the recognition, evaluation and control of associated hazards for several years. Now in its 3rd year, Mayday, Mayday is an opportunity to gather together to recognize this urgent issue, learn about the latest data on the incidence, impact and causes of stress, discover initiatives happening within workplaces and the Prevention system to prevent harm and dialogue about ways we can individually and collectively promote workplace mental health throughout the province. It will be an intense 3.5 hours of speakers and information, followed by an opportunity to relax and discuss over lunch. Join us to share your wisdom and lived experience to move this important WMH conversation forward.
Mayday, Mayday! will be held on Monday, May 27th at the YWCA, 87 Elm St. in downtown Toronto.
Now including Manitoba Strategy and Training experience!
