Mayday, Mayday, OHCOW’s 2nd annual Symposium on Workplace Mental Health (WMH), Stress, and Injury Prevention is fast approaching and only a few seats remain! Coming up on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 8:30am – 3:00pm at The International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. Mental Health, Stress, and Injury Prevention are growing priorities (and concerns) in the workplaces of Ontario, the field of Occupational Health and Safety, and society in general.. We are looking forward to welcoming (and dialoguing with) Dr. Hanne Berthelsen from the University of Malmo in Sweden, Mr. Jamie Hall, the COO of WorkSAFE Manitoba, Ms. Susan Freeman from Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) as well as several Ontario Prevention System partners, including Minister of Labour, Mr. Kevin Flynn (offering opening remarks) and recently appointed Chief Prevention Officer, Mr. Ron Kelusky (providing closing comments). We are also happy to extend an offer from Workplace Safety and Prevention Services for participants to visit the concurrent (9am to 4pm) Partners in Prevention Conference Trade Show as their guests when time permits. The Symposium is offered to Prevention System partners and their stakeholders at no charge, but space is very limited. Fortunately, the proceedings will be videotaped and available later on the OHCOW website. We are looking forward to an engaging day of discovery, reflection and most importantly, discussion on Workplace Mental Health and Injury Prevention. Join the conversation!
