Key Workplace Health Factors to Recognize, Assess & Control during COVID-19
Speakers:
Ergonomists - Melissa Statham and Daryl Stephenson
Occupational Hygienist - Andre Gauvin
Occupational Health is more critical than ever - when workplaces are struggling to be open, delivering services (and products) while navigating complex and evolving infection prevention rules and practices. Many changes have to be made in how we use (ventilate and clean) space, interact with each other, and conduct business. As we make those changes to activities, tools, workstations, and especially the environment, individuals will be impacted, sometimes negatively. During a pandemic (plus Global Ergonomics and Mental Health “Month”), it is good to remind ourselves of important Occupational Hygiene, Ergonomic, Workplace Mental Health and Safety concepts and reflect on how they might apply to the "new normal" in order to protect ourselves and others, avoiding illness, as well as aches, pain, stress, and injury.
