It contains: \n\nLearning modules and videos\,\nSupervisor guidance and practical resources\nPosters\, infographics\, ad one-pagers\nTemplates\, scripts\, and guides\n\n[/vc_column_text]Go to PSHSA’s Toolkit Page[/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner css_animation=”none” width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1793620284805{margin-top: 10px !important;margin-bottom: 10px !important;padding-right: 30px !important;}” offset=”vc_col-xl-inherit vc_col-lg-inherit vc_col-md-6 vc_col-sm-inherit”][vc_single_image image=”58856″ img_size=”medium”][vc_column_text] \nPSHSA’s  Online Course on Gender-based Violence\nThis easy to use online course is designed to promote a GBV awareness strategy that encourages a safer\, more respectful\, and more equitable workplace by preventing harm\, supporting those affected\, and setting clear expectations for behaviour.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row top_padding=”20″][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text] \nUnderstand Gender-Based Violence at Work\nGender-based violence is harm\, harassment\, or abuse based on sex\, gender\, or identity. \nIt can include: \n\nSexual harassment\nViolence outside of work that affects the workplace\nTechnology-facilitated harm and violence\nTechnology-facilitated harm and violence (sometimes called digital harm) is a form of gender-based violence.\n\nIt affects safety at work and can make it hard to focus. \nPSHSA research shows 39% of workers reported witnessing technology-facilitated harassment. \nProvincially there is information on the Province of Ontario website about employer duties under the Occupational Health and Safety Act to protect workers from workplace violence and harassment. It was designated in 1999 by the United Nations General Assembly. The date of November 25 commemorates the lives of the Mirabal sisters from the Dominican Republic who were violently assassinated in 1960. See the United Nations Web Page commemorating this date in history. \nDecember 6: National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women\nIn Canada\, this day honours the 14 women killed in the Polytechnique Montréal massacre on December 6\, 1989\, and calls for action against GBV. See OHCOW’s commemorative page \nDecember 10: Human Rights Day\nThis day marks the anniversary of the United Nations adoption and proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on December 10\, 1948. This document affirms the rights and dignity of all people and is a milestone in the history of human rights.
