If not, you are not alone. The majority of office
workers are often unaware of how to adjust their
working environment to reduce the risk of physical
injury.
Ergonomics can be defined as "fitting the job to the
worker". If the design, organization and or demands
of a job do not fit the abilities and or needs of
the individual, injury is more likely to occur. As
a result, workstations need to be adjustable to
accommodate the worker.
However, unless workers and their workplaces are
educated on how to adjust the workstation to meet
their needs, they may not take the time to make
adjustments to their work areas.
OHCOW has developed an Office Ergonomics Toolbox
that is now available to only former clients to
ensure workers understand and can adjust their
workstations to suit their personal dimensions.
The toolbox includes:

The toolbox is not only to provide a tool for
ongoing education of how to set up workstations, but
also to help the worksite to determine if they are
purchasing the correct equipment for their
employees.
All too often worksites purchase equipment only to
discover it does not meet the physical needs of
their staff, and then are often forced to invest
additional funds into other expensive equipment.
The toolbox is available for purchase at a cost of
$140.00 which includes shipping and handling.
Additional resources may be purchased. Please note
that all costs are inclusive for the purpose of cost
recovery with no profit being incurred by OHCOW.
